Ashford Designer Outlet
Project overview
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Ashford officially launched its 100,000 sq. ft. expansion on 7th November, marking the completion of the centre’s first extension since it opened in 2000.
The new phase makes the centre one of the South of England’s biggest outlets, with over 130 premium brands, restaurants and cafes. It is also one of the world’s greenest shopping centres, home to Europe’s largest living wall installation that comprises over 120,000 plants.
The expansion has introduced over 40 new stores, a new food piazza, an events space, a digitally-enhanced children’s playground and 725 additional parking spaces.
The brief
McArthur Glen were seeking to maintain a similar specification and standard to Cheshire Oaks designer outlet, which was a goal of high quality washrooms to match the high quality shopping experience created for its customers. The design had to maintain the contemporary modern design, and be in-keeping with the brass finish elsewhere within the expansion and upgrades.
The solution
Working with McArthur Glen for a second time, The Splash Lab put forward similar bespoke basin systems, as well as our TSL.882 taps in brass, as well as our TSL.470 and our Brass TSL.3002 hand dryer. We were able to align our products with the design, incorporating a brass finish to the fittings within the light and bright washroom style that was leading on from the Cheshire Oaks project.
